Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using EXPO, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Users must be at least 16 years old to register. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Description of service

EXPO is an AI-powered educational study tool for university students, providing flashcards, quizzes, past questions, AI tutoring, and study analytics.

The app is provided as-is and we make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Features may change during beta.

User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account. You must provide accurate information during registration.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload, share, or distribute copyrighted textbooks, exam papers, or course materials you do not have the right to distribute
• Use the app to cheat in assessed academic work in a way that violates your institution's academic integrity policy
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract content from the app or its API
• Use the AI features to generate content that is hateful, harmful, sexually explicit, or deceptive
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free features
• Impersonate another student, lecturer, or administrator

AI-generated content

EXPO uses artificial intelligence to generate study materials, explanations, summaries, and quiz questions. This content is generated automatically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions.

AI-generated content is provided for educational assistance only — it is not a substitute for your course materials, lecturer guidance, or professional advice. Always verify AI-generated content against authoritative sources.

Intellectual property

All content created by EXPO — including but not limited to the app design, branding, AI-generated study materials, system-generated flashcards, and software — is owned by EXPO or its licensors. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or sell this content without written permission.

Content you upload (notes, materials) remains your intellectual property. By uploading content, you grant EXPO a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process it solely to deliver the service to you.

Content moderation

EXPO reserves the right to remove any user-uploaded content that violates these terms or applicable law, without prior notice.

Administrators of institutions using EXPO are responsible for ensuring materials they upload comply with copyright law.

Payments and subscriptions

Currently EXPO is free during the beta period. If paid features are introduced in future, all payments will be processed through Google Play Billing. Refund requests are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy.

We will not charge you without clear prior notice and your explicit consent.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

EXPO is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, EXPO shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of study data, exam failure, or reliance on AI-generated content.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the app and request account deletion at any time via our account deletion page. Upon termination, your right to use EXPO ends immediately.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Rivers State, Nigeria.

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

If you disagree, you may delete your account.
